I had this Toshiba for a week but had to return it. It was a good tv. The sound was very good when attached with an HDMI cable. Picture was good and what you’d expect for a 720p unit. Personally I like Toshiba tvs.
However, mine had a high pitch (feedback-like) sound coming from the unit. After a week I couldn’t take it anymore. I purchased mine at Be$tbuy locally and they were out. Still looking for another tv.
If you get one for a good price, (and it works) I’d say it is as good as other brands.

So I was in the market for a 32 inch set for the bedroom and decided to go with 720P, since 1080P just isn’t necessary for this size. I looked at the Panny, LG, and the Sammy 460 series and this Toshiba’s had the deepest blacks out of the three. Blacks are more important to me being a Kuro owner. I’ve had this tv up and running now for 24 hours straight for over a week and no issues thus far. Very sharp picture with HD running through it. SD doesn’t look as sharp at all, but that is the case with any LCD. Good blacks(for an lcd). The screen is a matte, so you don’t get the reflections. Off viewing axis is better than most LCD’S, but being a plasma owner, it sucks in comparison. The color accuracy leaves something to be desired. Luckily the picture menu allows you to correct this. The sound is decent, although you will get vibration with certain dialog with the bass turned all the way up. Here are the settings I came up with for the best possible picture and fixing the color issue, which is a green push. This was done with a ISF calibration disc in a dark room. If you wish for a brighter picture for sports viewing or because you have the tv in a brighter setting, then bump up the backlight. Note: I will keep updating these settings until I feel they are perfect, so keep checking in from time to time.

I gave it a four star only because of the speaker vibration during certain dialog and the major color adjustment it needed, but for the money, I could have easily given it a five star.

Very good second TV for those Guest rooms, or other non primary viewing areas of the house. Very good Pictures in the digital format, with 2 Hdmi inputs for DVDs/Blu-ray.Digital input slot for digital sound and a PC wired connection, so that unit can be used as a PC monitor. I purchased the unit mostly for the Grand kids, to watch their DVDs on and watch cartoons.

Picture is great… But… when I turn up the bass the body of the TV vibrates. It vibrates to the point of I had to turn off the TV speakers and use external sound system. If you’re buying this unit online don’t throw the box away! You may need to ship it back. I returned my first unit back to the store to exchange my TV and saw four other open box units. I’m just putting two and two together.

I have just purchased this TV from Best Buy as it was on sale a good amount. Brought it home and it rocks! The quality of the picture is just amazing when it is hooked up to my DVD player. I might have to give in and get a blue-ray to see how that looks! Input cables are in a good place so I can keep my TV against the wall. Wish the sound was a little better, but then again I have a surround sound for when I want the premium sound anyways.
